WELCOME to Bluegrass. Yes the last pic is me in a hoodie it was COLD COLD Saturday. 2nd, 4th and 5th picture is seriously a mini van covered in post it notes, 2400 of them to be exact as you can see from one of the notes it took them 4 hours. We saw the begining stages Friday night but never expected to see this on Saturday. Ryan got a great pic of a peace sign was right by Stage 5. Seriously it was one of the best Bluegrasses for me, very relaxed and lots of time for dear hubby. I am not sure he would call it his best but I sure consider it to be for me. Carlee got to enjoy the fiddle championship with Mom and Dad Friday and now has become a bluegrass babe, thank goodness she is only a $5 date and then $40 after for the shirt and coffee and corn and roasted sugar peanuts. Goodness!

Some eye candy to keep you preoccupied while I am getting in some much needed Hubby time at Bluegrass this weekend.
Looking forward to my Cropper Hopper class next weekend we have some great ladies coming and I am excited to get a few more organized. Still one spot if you want to or know someone who does. Hopefully I will get some Bluegrass pics posted Saturday or Sunday.

A little change of scenery on here. I did this one at Crop Ganza I am just getting around to getting layouts scanned and uploaded. Not sure why I feel the need to do this I started this when I was submitting heavily and am not anymore.

Had a Crop Camp meeting this evening and am SOO excited about the classes that are going to be held. I will reveal on here soon so if you are attending and your friends are you may wanna start blog stalking me.

Got one opening for my Organizational Class next weekend and I have changed it up so if you have considered it NOW IS THE TIME Crop Camp is getting closer and wouldnt it be easier to have page kits and be better organized?

Sunday, September 09, 2007

Yep this is what I have been doing today. Ball of potholder loops meet my blog readers. Each of these loops have to be hooked together then they are going to be knitted into a really sweet rug. Once my right hand recovers the damage of holding onto a size 35 knitting needles and alot of potholder loops. Thanks to Kathy for being my personal shopper yesterday picking up these bad boys and a size 7 needle for future projects and the loops. Mom got me some loops too in Ponca I think I have 8 bags and need 20 wish me luck.

On another note I have 1 opening for my get organized challenge class so if you are considering it this is the time. I have added some easier tasks and perfected some sections. Take the leap and get organized before Crop Camp you wont regret it.

WOW its amazing how quickly a week can go by. Saturday I took the Aweso{me} class at Scrap Funattic with Summer and it was amazing. Already ready for next month can't wait want more challenges come on Summer give me some homework!

I start a BPS class day its called "Scrap Your Scraps" and for all of those who asked questions about organizing your scrap pieces of paper I can't wait to see how it all pans out so that I can help others with a part of organization that haunts me every time I scrapbook.

The picture above is me at the knitting store. I did finish my cell phone cozy and am waiting for this book http://www.amazon.com/Mason-Dixon-Knitting-Knitters-Patterns-Questions/dp/0307236056/ref=sr_1_26/102-1334743-4488923?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1189096063&sr=8-26 there is a pattern or 2 I am wanting to attempt so we shall see.

Ryan decided last weekend since we have this HUGE aquarium who used to house Lizzie the very large iguana he had instead of another tank we are doing a home for little lizards and a turtle for me cause I really want one. I think I wanna name it Tink and I dont even have one yet. We hope to go this weekend and check out things for getting it set up in our newly painted basement he and Bry worked hard on over Labor Day. Well I have layouts to post so when I can catch my breath at home I will get those posted along with my class assignments from my BPS class. TTFN

Yes I procrastinate. But it seems some of my good work comes out of it. I still need to color in the squares where the letters are I think? Should I?

This is for the Aweso{me} Class I am taking Saturday. This is one of 2 challenges. So bear with me I hope the other surfaces tomorrow night.

Yep I think thats how they feel when I leave. You always hope your husband, child and dog miss you soo much its like at the end of Wife Swap and they are soo happy to see you they are beside themselves. But I am sure its more like the reaction Blue has here. Ho Hum you are leaving, see you when you get back after I have a really really long nap all weekend long.

Sunday, August 19, 2007

So I got this idea from here http://yourpicturedmemories.blogspot.com/ and couldnt wait to purchase one. Oh wait but they arent available for a couple of months!

HELLO!! Crop A Ganza is next weekend. So $3.98 at Wal-Mart and my old eyelet setter and hammer (cause the Crop A Dile wouldnt reach in that far) and I am unveiling my ribbon Chia pet. But she needs a name. Any suggestions?

Saturday, August 18, 2007

Lesson for all ladies who read this: NEVER EVER leave your bra unattended or overnight at a friends house in your scrap bag. Someone will envariably find it and then another someone will help someone #1 put it on a bear and then soon realize that the bear's chest wont fill out the bra so there for it requires its paws to fill the cup!!

As you know this wasnt my bra or Susans so any guesses?

PS Liz I still love you chickee!

Some more pics from Saturday to cheer us all up right?

Thanks for the understanding yesterday from everyone somedays you just feel under appreciated and that noone listens to you especially if you constantly have to repeat yourself.

Well we meet with Carlee's home room teacher this evening. She will have 3 because she is going into the 5th grade and its like a middle school Jr high type of situation. She and I both are excited I am just worried that more attitude will ensue.

Got to spend some much needed talking time with dear hubby last night we every once in a while get to do some talking that isnt about the days etc this is important stuff. I love just sitting there sometimes and watching him work on drawings because he is so talented and smart more than he allows himself credit

I have ALL my page kits packed for Crop A Ganza pretty darn excited now I gotta spend a week deciding what to wear. UGH

Wednesday, August 15, 2007

Random blogs for some reason its making my pics small.
Dont know why makes me impatient some time.

So we are a little over a week from Crop A Ganza. I am wondering if my
Carlee and Ryan are secretly excited to get rid of me. I feel like I have just been
a grouch and a nagger lately I guess if I notice it I need to change it.

I repeat myself alot at work with customers and such so by the time I get homeI dont want to do it all evening so I just try to stay to myself and be patient but some days are harder than others. Geesh
Here is an example i get sent a call "This is Alicia how may I help you" the response "yes who am I speaking with?" DUH I JUST SAID IT!!
or "This is Alicia how may I help you" the response "Whats your name?" DUH HELLO! Pay attention stay focused!
Or Wait here is the classic one we get alot "I need a part # for blah blah blah" My response "Ok your part #'s are blah blah blah" Customers response "Hold on let me get a pen and paper" WTH!! You called me for a part # how the heck were you going to remember it? Write it in blood on your sales counter!

What an awesome weekend. Here are some shots from my Grandmas 80th birthday party. This was her 1st ride ever in a Corvette I am soo glad I was able to take her for a spin even though I am a nervous wreck driving it for fear of something happening to it :)
The girls did so well keeping themselves enertained with bubbles and driving the Barbie jeep around and up and down the side walk.
Carlee enjoys making Lena put on anything that makes her look silly
which is soo hilarious to me.
The bottom pic is my dad and my
grandma as we were grilling for dinner.
Grandma sure looks good and still goes 90 to nothing for a lady in her 80's I hope to have 1/2 that energy.
Just wanted to say thanks to Susan for alot of cropping fun Friday night and Saturday morning. It helped to keep my mind busy while Ryan was away and I got things accomplished.
Tomorrow I will post a pic of Susans teddy bear in Shandras bra it was great!! We had to use his paws to fill the cups but Hey you do what you can right?

Tuesday, August 07, 2007

LOTS OF PRAYERS PLEASE

a good friend of mine and some you may know Susan Camp has 3 beautiful Bichon babies. Well one of her darlings has been pregnant and delivered 6 little ones. Unfortunatly one of the little ones didnt make it and momma never woke after her c-section. Susans family is caring for 5 little ones and bottle feeding them every 2 hours in hopes to watch them all grow up. Please say a small prayer for all the Camp family it has been really difficult for them and drop a card if you could they would appreciate the support and thoughts.

Yep a little shopping and some down time for the only 2 men in my life. They deserve a break they both work soo hard in the house and are constantly on the move. Due to the recent heat they have been holding down the furniture in the basement so I am always thankful that the hammock gets some use. I hope to this fall get some serious reading done.
On a reading note I read A WHOLE book this weekend called "Bergdorf Blondes" awesome good story I hear there is a sequel so I am going to have to see if I can find it then have the time to actually read it too!

7 Days Ladies~Some of you will visit Thursday night some Saturday but thanks again and I can't wait to see you!

Thursday, July 26, 2007

Somedays he is such a good sport? Like his shirt? Its from here www.tinkeringink.com I ordered it for him for his birthday and it cracks us both up.

Lots going on for me this week. Working on getting the 7 Days class packets ready and the final album done on top of that I have an allergy bug of some sort its not pretty. My head hurts and I would rather lay on pavement then continually trying to hold my head up for the 2nd day this week.

Talks are in the process of doing another Cropper Hopper get organinized challenge class in Andover. After Saturday I will be changing things up again as I witnessed the miraculous wonder of what a Clip It Up can do for people and Simple Scrapbooks is coming out with a new organizational book so we shal see how it all goes. If you are interested contact the store and let them know. Once the date gets announced it fills up fast since we only take 10 at a time.

Sunday, July 22, 2007

Did you hear I am famous http://scrapfunattic.blogspot.com/ HOW COOL IS THAT ?

I dont promote products unless I strongly believe in them and I still will never question how the Clip it Up changed my life and could yours too.

TO MY ORGANIZATIONAL LADIES thank you for a phenomenal day!! I had a blast visiting and getting to know each of you and hope I get to crop with you all very soon and see how each of your progress is going. Here is a little picture from yesterday.
I have some things to share soon just need some breathing time. I went home and organized some myself. I cut up a bunch of my white scraps of paper and made swatches of all my paint. I know its crazy BUT I LOVE IT!! I bought a business card holder from WalMart for like $4 and its fits in my purse to take to the Attic so I dont purchase duplicate colors.

Monday, July 16, 2007

Here is me. Minus about 3 pounds of hair or thats what it felt and looked like on the floor of my hairdressers house. 1 hour on saturday for the cut and 2 hours tonight for the color. Cause see I have no patience and dont sit still well. Now who woulda guessed that one :)

Monday, July 09, 2007

This is how we girls take pictures. My sister "Sissy" as we call her makes us matching outfits we sit up the tri-pod in the back yard and start snapping.
As you can see someone wasnt off to a good start and you can so see my sisters hand on her hip in dismay to the poutiness pouring out of this cute blonde haired blue eyed girl.

These are for my moms birthday we have them all printed and ready to get framed and she prolly doesnt even know what a blog is so no need to ruin the suprise :)

4th of July. My goal is to remind my parents every time they take the grandchildren somewhere to take the digital camera that we bought dad for christmas. That is my daughter the 3-4th kid on the left with the pink tank top doing a balloon toss in Ark City on Wednesday. Both her and my niece had a blast. Course you can't see her because she is soo small.
7 Days Ladies~ I am close to letting you know what date and times we will assemble our albums so bear with me as I sort thru that stuff.
Cropper Hopper ladies its almost time. I hope you are prepared to totally be organized and accomplish pages every time you sit to crop. This will happen just as Steff and the other ladies who took this challenge and succeeded and you will too!
PLEASE PLEASE go here http://www.janagirl.typepad.com/ and check out these shirts. They rock and go to a good cause so you can't be that and hey guess what its "OK To Fight Like A Girl"

Wednesday, June 27, 2007

For some reason my best work is always done when I am pressing a deadline. Hence for those of you who are procrastinators its OK because the work you produce is always MAHVALOUS!! You dont have time to ponder the whats ifs for example this card was made in less than 30 minutes. Not too shabby!

Monday, June 25, 2007

This is my new flower pot with my favorite flowers! Its the Teacup Daisy!!

7 Days ladies I sent out your packet by email so check that spot anyone else who is interested email me at raday@cox.net and I can get you the info. I will have more pics of the house to follow but for now enjoy these with me!

Tuesday, June 12, 2007

SPIDERS~ This will give you the eebie jeebies. Last night I was heading out our back door and seen a lovely spider just waiting for its demise with a flip flop. Soo I smacked it putting it out of its misery but kharma bit me in the ass. The minute I smacked it what seemed like 500 little baby spiders came running out like I had dropped a batch of seed beads on the floor. NO JOKE I felt creepy crawley all night it was just the craziest most weird thing I ever experienced. EEBIE JEEBIES!!

Thursday, June 07, 2007

Well I talked to Steffanie so I felt it was time to update on this end. I do have pics to show of the front door finally finished 6 coats that I know we have both put on and we are finally content.

Getting ready for a garage sale I will be having on June 16th along with my sister in law Traci and hopefully my sister if she has time to prepare. No doubt there will be scrapbooking supplies so heads up on that its from 8-Noon and I am purging. I will let early sales go on it if you want to see things in advance just call me or email me.

Started knitting a baby blanket for some friends of ours that are expecting in August and its a boy I have 25 out of the 125 stitches it takes so I am 1/2 of the way done in only approximatly 5 days of work, not too bad if you ask me.

Well our dog is liking the indoor living more its quite interesting how he looks so miserable outside now that he has been living the "Good Life" indoors completly just the saddest eyes ever until he comes in.

Well keep in touch emails will be coming soon about upcoming classes I know I am due to teach again hopefully the ladies will come to learn!

Tuesday, May 29, 2007

Steff~ When you have time please make a note to yourself to call me. I have left some messages at the store for you but I know you are busy so when you have time.

So its getting closer, I had to go get 2 more gallons of paint to complete my hallways. The flight of stairs was quite a convincer, just doesnt seem right to have a ladder leaning over stairs and I am suppose to feel safe climbing up each rung as it creaks. Way scary trust me.

My goal this week is to get prepared for the July Cropper Hopper class. I am soo excited because there are new products out again already so I will be rewriting the class preparing for it and going over the old ciriculum to the new. Way exciting for me and a nice break from painting thats no doubt.

Got to crop for a few hours on Sunday I hope to get those posted in the next few days. I have a whole box full of layouts that need to be scanned and saved as my goal this year was to be published in Simple Scrapbooks but its already almost June!

Monday, May 21, 2007

Yep even the organized girl is a little messy sometimes. This is 10 days after our move and I have the whole house pretty much unpacked so guess what is next that I have already spent 3 hours on just this evening...

This first picture these windows overlook the park by our house and bring in a heckuva a breeze. That chest my dad built and it stores 12x12 albums the completed ones and has a drawer in the bottom for pics and the top divided out too for more stuffs. Cause you know I got lots.

The next one is my book shelf as you can see everything is a work in progress here.

#3 My lovely cubes. I have 3 more coming that are just open to store work in progress albums my dad is making those.

Picture #4 is the computer and hodge podge desk pretty obvious huh? Its a built in with drawers WAY over 12 inches wide and tall. SO SO happy about that one.

Too good not to share. My latest blog habit http://www.dooce.com/ seriously this chick is funny. She isnt an everyday poster and some days its more than once but some seriously funny sheit if you ask me.

HI to Liz and Steff, thanks for the support girls I know I am only a 34A and a once or twice a week poster but good friends are like bras you love em and handle them with more care then most possesions in your life.

Another softball game last night and yep sure enough she got hit, but those $10 shin guards paid off. My niece was there I was nice enough to give her $2 and send her with my mom to the concession stand and she got a pixie stick taller than her and a popsicle. Her dad calls Pixie Sticks kiddie cocaine and thats just about right. I guarantee they were peeling her from the ceiling last night at bedtime. Mind you she topped that stuff off at 9 pm. BACK to Carlee she did get to bat and got an RBI(learned that term from DH last night :) and played several positions so I am thankful that her coach lets the girls try different positions so they can get the feel for it all.

So my goals this weekend are to paint my door, front entry way and hang some stuff. Gotta take out some ivy because its eating our shingles and clean out the flower bed full of weeds. Gotta transplant some of the ivy to Ryans grandmas she wants it on her fence. I guess someone told her not to because it will eat the wood on the fence and in 20 years the fence will be destroyed. She told them in 20 years she will be dead, she is 80 and doesnt care about how it will be in 20 thats what she wants now. She cracks me up!

Wednesday, May 16, 2007

I know I know. Long time no post. But does anyone ever really read this? Anyways.. The Cropper Hopper Class will be in Andover in July. Please check with them to get signed up. My goal the next month is to reprepare for this class because its pretty much all new because of the new organizational products going on out there.

Carlee had her 1st pre-season softball game and the fear I had for her came to light and happened last night. I guess God thought "Well we dont want Alicia having a panic attack everytime Carlee plays so we will let her get hit with the ball once and just get it over with" and TADAA!! It happened right in the leg and to Carlee it was like a trophy. Then our pitcher threw the ball and the girl hit it right into her face, got her right on the left eye. I seriously dont take enough medication for this honestly.

7 Days Ladies and anyone new~

So the question was asked from Steff what is "7 Days". Well the official name was {7 Days~168 Hours~10,080 Minutes} and for one week in July last year we all kept track of things we did. Like hours worked, how many loads of laundry done, what we ate, what we paid for gas and groceries. Our daily habits etc. We had sheets we filled out and kept track of even the weather. We took pics to hilite certain things and then we got together and combined them into an album. We all decided we would do it again and I wanna stick to that promise to those of you who loved it and for those of your friends who want to do it again. I cannot stress the importance of what a week in your life is like, for you to see and your family as well. I couldnt even imagine what I would see had I kept track of the hours of painting and cleaning and moving we are and have been doing but I have documents LOTS!! I will be sending out an email when I can get my bearings to everyone in my email acct so we can begin getting #'s together and preparing for the pre-class to get all your paperwork and then you will have a month until we meet again. THis gives you 4 weeks to choose from to track. I am hoping to work in conjunction with the Attic Girls about product and stuff for us and we may just pay them for our kits if everyone is ok with that. Well Let Me Know TATA

Tuesday, May 08, 2007

HI STEFF!! Look at me I am blogging!

SO here is the latest quick updates. This Thursday May 10th I teach in Winfield at the Arts and Humanities Council 6 pm. You must preregister if you want a kit cause I gotta get it made up the day before.

Steff and I talked today and we WILL be doing another Cropper Hopper Get Organized Challenge class. We are looking at an all dayer in July so check with the store and here for finalized details. The ciriculam has changed since January as well as product so I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to be rocking this class again.

7 Days girls~ If you took this class last year or want to this year EMAIL ME PLEASE I am working on a day and a location so that is determined by the amount of ladies involved :)

Thursday, May 03, 2007

WOW! Where do I begin. I think since I last posted we have been thru approximatly 15 gallons of paint. The main rooms are done, the hallways will get done once the furniture gets moved in. I plan to have our red accent wall done this weekend and will no doubt do a before and after so you can see the dramatic results and what a difference that can make.
We are taking a break this evening Carlee has her music program this evening so we are focusing our time on her. We are doing an open house on Sunday for our old house hopefully to get some prospective buyers so we shall see. Lots to do no doubt. But all well worth it for that first night we spend in our new home together, that I can't wait for.

Can I get a drumroll please......

TADAA!! This is for my cards and mailbox class at the Arts and Humanities Council in Winfield KS on May 10th. You can contact them for more info on costs etc but its reasonably priced and will be tons of fun. 10 cards 5 designs and a cute mailbox to keep em in too how cool is that?

Yes there are only 4 here but I cant show it all to you that would spoil the fun!

Ok I have guilt. Guilt for not posting pics but you see I have a good excuse the camera is at the new house filled with before and during photos. No after photos yet due to a discovery of peeling paint in the freshly painted living room. So the only thing getting done in there is scraping to no avail of Shondelle who will hate me when I need a good mani :)

I am done with the cards for the Arts and Humanities class on May 10th and those WILL get posted tonight because I HAVE to get them to Laura for her return to the office tomorrow. I do soo much better with deadlines.

Started a new book you know for the down time I dont and wont have for the next month or two but sometimes I just need a brain break. Its called "Before you leap" By Kermit the Frog and I have heard lots about it so I will keep you updated. Heres a little quote from the book for today "My parents. They urged every one of us to follow our dreams-or at least to go some place else to play so they could finish their dinner in peace."

Thursday, April 12, 2007

Cute pics huh? Wish I could make em bigger. If these were photos you took would you mind sharing the originals with me?
You can check out more new pics from Crop Camp at http://www.cropcamp.photosite.com there are some great ones!! Makes me miss all the ladies.
Well we are about a week away from closing on our new home and beginning the process of painting, painting and more painting. We also will start a time period of 6 months that we have to sell our home or make both house payments. EEK that will bite.
I finished knitting my bunny but he will have to stay hidden. Hopefully you will soon see his new and improved brother whose head isnt like a rectangle with holes. oops

Today's Baby Blues Comic Strip - ArcaMax Publishing

Today's Baby Blues Comic Strip - ArcaMax Publishing So this is a must see and read. Seriously cracked me up yesterday. LOVE this comic strip and everything thats involved with this family. I couldnt figure out how to put this picture in so this link with have to work :)

I wanted to say thanks to everyone for the prayers for Ryans Grandpa B. He passed away at 12:27 pm on Thursday and even though it was difficult it was a blessing. Even at 79 he was still a go getter up until the end fighting a battle that he lost to. We loved him dearly and are thankful our children got to know him and that I got to know him these last 7 years Ryan and I have been together. 40 years of marriage he and Grandma had and that says alot to me and the way that love truely prevails thru difficult times. I saw a whole new side to my husband the compassion and strength and helpfulness he showed to his family was the greatess I have ever seen from anyone. And such a strong and endearing man its difficult to even put it into words. Not that he ever reads this blog but "I Love You Honey and the things and the way you handled yourself this week will forever remain into my heart and has given me many more reasons to fall in love with you over and over again"

We were able to get keys to our house this weekend and show some friends and family. Our "To Do" list grew and grew. If you see me selling popsicles outside of Sherwin Williams its because we spent our paint allowance and we were needing more :)

Well ladies thanks again. Remember I am teaching this Thursday at the Arts and Humanities council for the "10 Things I Love" album easily can be used and reproduced for gifts so keep that in mind.

Thanks again for the prayers.

Monday, April 02, 2007

Isn't it beautiful? I finished after almost a month. 125 stitches 100 of those regular knitting the other 25 were yarn over knit 2 together and TADAA!! Its my first official project using a pattern. Scarves and disrags do not even come close to this. All made with love for friends of ours. Next is a cuddly bunny, but that bunny has kicked my butt and I am finally kicking its nice soft chenille butt and it actually is starting to get arms today :) Wish me luck!

How cool is this? What a great picture of some great looking chickees huh?
What a great weekend, Kathy has set us up a gallery at www.cropcamp.photosite.com check it out and if you have some to add please email them to her or myself :)
Please continue the prayers for Ryans grandad everyday we wake up hoping he can go to his heaven because he is in so much pain but there must be a reason God has decided to wait. So we just pray and pray.

A Little Prayer Requests Please

For Ryans Grandpa and Grandma B. He has been fighting a tumor and cancer for quite some time and things are getting close. Well by this time tomorrow we should be pulling into Camp Wah-Shah-She I can' t wait.
I am ready to get stuff done, and teach and get my toes pretty!!

Gonna miss DH though. Its getting harder and harder to be gone from home. We enjoy hanging out and eating and just being at home. Things have been kaotic with our house and waiting to move the stress has weighed heavily on us both but we are each others rocks so I am a little off balance when I am away from him.

Carlee has had a whirlwind week of Wichita and Deidres and then the zoo Friday and her dads this weekend with family visiting from Colorado and then Deidre will be with here there on Saturday until I get em both on Sunday. Talk about 2 peas in a pod those girls are so much alike it cracks me up. Remind me alot of my best friend and I at the age. Scheming for the next sleepover.

I know I am a wuss but I plan to steal Carlees electric blanket cause this bug sleeps better when she is in a warm rug :)

Here it is. After alot of discarded chipboard and head scratching I got it all figured out just for you! This is the 10 Things I Love altered chipboard album class. I will be teaching it for the Winfield Arts and Humanities on April 12th at 6 pm. You can contact them at 620-221-2161 to register we are limited to 12 participants. The cost is $15 and all you have to bring is your basic supplies and 10 4x6 photos of things you love, whether they are things, people or places!! This is all done out of the NEW Basic Grey Scarletts Letter Line and we will be using ink and paint and recycled milk jugs and foam too!
Just a little pic to tide you over until I get my project on here. Let me tell you a little something about this man. Never in my life did I ever think I would want to always be home. I look forward to Crop Camps every time but a little piece of me misses being home with him and watching UFC's or seeing him peacefully sleep in his chair. I LOVE HIM and the longer we are toghether the harder it gets. Crazy I know to some of you but to me its happiness and what keeps me content is him.
NEXT~ My dear in-laws got dune buggies. Me a virgin at the experience was a little nervous driving it last night as our house was being shown but let me tell you I lived a sheltered life. THAT ROCKS!! OH MY GOSH!! I was a little nervous allowing my 10 year old to drive me around and then screamed like a little pig tailed girl while Ryan took me all over the pond balls to the wall BUT IT WAS A BLAST!! I can't wait to get out again and get pics of the kids hair blowing back laughing and screaming and hitting hills of dirt and bump. OH if the weather holds out you will see it.

Yes I am still breathing, though I am not sure anyone reads this anyways, but thats ok helps me remember. I started an online class here www.bigpicturescrapbooking.com called The Art Of Choosing Joy" and am totally enjoying the homework and the challenges of so many things. THe one thing that is sticking lately is "Refusing to be offended" this is referred often so let that one soak in. We are looking at doing comfy pants for Spring Crop Camp if you are interested email me.

And just a year ago here we were, OH JUST wait until this one its soo gonna ROCK!

Tuesday, January 30, 2007

I know I know horrible blogger I am I am. Things are just hectic lately. I am only here to post a pic of my dd that Melissa(her step-mom, but we hate that word) took that is really cool. She is pretty talented with the camera and getting there with photoshop, evidently I mean seriously check out this pic.
So Spring Crop Camp is 8 weeks away and I got the t-shirt design done and was thinking of comfy pants too.
I start an online BPS class and am looking forward to it its called "The Art of Choosing Joy" thought it would be good considering I hit 30 this year. A good reflection of the past and whats to come.

I am going to post more I promise. I have told myself I cant post unless I have a picture and thats just not practical now. So many things are going on in our household. Our home for almost 5 years together will be going on the market to prepare for our move to our new house. So many things run thru your head, will they like or hate your fish bathroom, or my beautiful robins egg blue studio or Carlees cute purple room with flowers that my SIL and I spent so much time on. Its just alot of worry and change for us for the next 4-5 months and I pray everyday we survive it.
I finished my Cropper Hopper monthly class on Tuesday and an doing an all day one on Jan 27th really excited about that SOO can't wait!!
Carlee turns 10 this month really kinda crazy, which if you add puts me turning 30 in march, really scary.
Spring Crop Camp is around the corner we are working details on it now getting all excited and ready to get away and enjoy the relaxing scenery.

Yes I know, its totally difficult to keep track of me but let me tell you why. The old Crop Camp website met its desmise. It was buried and recreated just the way we wanted it. This time it cost us only ALL THE TIME it took Kathy to create it and give me my wonderful regular non difficult blog back. BIG HUGS to Kathy for making things soo much easier for all of us. SO now my friends my goal this winter while most of my scrapbooking is being packed away upon the sale of our house and our move I have decided to become better at taking pics so here is my newest favorite. Pretty cool angle and great subject too!!

Wednesday, January 25, 2006

So I am reading a book my husband bought, amazingly enough it's the 1st book I have read in a long time that isn't scrapbooking related. Its called "Please Understand Me:Character & Temperament Types" by David Keirsey and Marilyn Bates. VERY VERY interesting. It explains why people are they way they are. Why we are all different and have different moods and beliefs. Have had several lightbulbs come on with this one. I found out my type is ESFJ which is an Extrovert: Sensation; Feeling and Judging. My hubby the psych major called it right. I have had to look up a few words, but it still has kept me intrigued and interested.

5 people I would like to meet in my life.....(alive or dead)

1) Marilyn Monroe - because she was a model but not a paper thin model, because she was a playboy playmate and wasn't a rail.

2) Hugh Hefner-smart business man, would love to pick his brain.

3) Oprah - too many reasons to list

4) Rachel Ray - because I didnt like cooking till I learned her way.

5) Princess Diana~SOO many reasons, the way she raised the boys, how she dealt with the royal family, how she followed her heart, how strong she was, haw charitable she was.

) Tell me about the best pet you have ever had?
My persian/himalayian mix her name was Sissy. She had awesome blue eyes and was fuzzy and lovey. We had a babysitter who accidently let her out and she didnt know cars. I still want another one like her.

2) What is the one place in this world you want to go to more than anywherelse?
Somewhere I can lay on the beach with my Hubby and just "be there"
& Walt Disney World with my daughter, before she gets too old.

3) With all the news these days - like from Mr. Osama - Do you feel safe?
I feel that if its my time, its my time, God makes that decision, not I.

4) Friends (reruns) last night made me wonder this - Is there really such a thing as a "self-less good deed"? I feel donating clothes, and helping out people no matter the scenerio, when you give yourself and there isn't a reward it is self-less.

5) What is the one scrappin tool or thing you want, but can never seem to find?
Oh well the new stamps that Elsie Flannigan designed SO WANT THOSE!!
A challenge from 2Peas posted by Scrapladyb her blog is http://alifeunrehearsed.blogspot.com/

List 5 things that consistently worry you - each day. By opening ourselves up, we always learn more about ourselves. This would make a great layout/scrapbook page in our albums.. for people in our lives down the road, to really catch a glimpse of the person we truly are, deep inside. Be honest. Be real. What worries you? I know we all need to worry less, because really we should only be concerned about today.. but let's face it, we all have worries. What are yours?

1. I worry about money, not providing my part for our family
2. The health of Mom and FIL who are dealing with some things
3. Carlee~ her grades, writing and spelling are her struggles, the hard stuff like math and science a breeze for her
4. Being a good wife, am I doing everything I can to make my hubby feel important and loved
5. Being a good mom, am I raising her right, am I disciplining too much or not enough. Am I too rough or just right?

Thursday, January 19, 2006

Amazing how some days you seem so bored and other days its crazy. My next 9 weeks will be crazy, hubby and I are working on an album for a couple that he and his dad built a house for. Crop Camp is 9 weeks away so besides getting the biz side ready I have lots of page kits to prepare and figure and organize.
Yoga has been great, so glad I started again, I already have felt better and less tension makes me soo relaxed I can't get much done at home though!
Read Stacy J's book for the 2nd time and am working on my tags. Wanna get some things done this weekend and play so I am hoping that is in the stars for me. My little and only one turns 9 next friday, hard to stomach that, just means I am 6 weeks away from being 29, a # I dont like today or any day.

Wednesday, January 18, 2006

So today was banking day for Miss Carlee and we were discussing her savings acct she has at her Nanny's(her dads mom) and what it was for. She said it was an acct for their cars, so when its time to buy a car they could use that money, so I casually asked her what she would want to buy her reply, "A corvette, just like Ryans(my hubby) except I want pink!" I said I dont think I had ever seen a pink one I bet hers would be the first and only one around here!

The is the challenge from Plastic's Blog. I love that she keeps us on our toe toes!
I am doing this to pass the time as everyone is getting Scrapbook Answers DT Calls except me :(

1. If I didn't have to do it perfectly, I'd be a dental hygentist
2. If I didn't have to do it perfectly, I'd learn how to ride a motorcycle
3. If I didn't have to do it perfectly, I'd submit more often
4. If I didn't have to do it perfectly, I'd learn to relax more.

Yoga~such a cool word. I started up again today and realized how out of touch I am with my whole body. My left knee shook , it just couldnt take the weight, amazing at almost 29 I am this way. Still love it though, loved the relaxation part where she gave us heated herbs to relax with. Hopefully I will start sleeping again at night, that my body gets centered again one day and relieves me of the stress and lets me be relaxed again. I hope...someday....

SO the class was awesome!! I had 9 ladies who just had a blast and did such a great job. I had 2 new ones too which I love to share my habit with people. I looked pretty ragged after class being in high heels for 12 hours did not benefit me at all. I hope to have a good hair day with the new do soon and I promise to take a pic so you ladies can put a face with a name. Hopefully I can figure how to do it.
Been inspired lately with the doodling and after seeing Plastics pages this morning I was soo glad I bought a white gel pen last night, can't wait to see the results of it. Crazy thing is, I was never a doodler, never have been, maybe my inner doodler needs let out!

Thursday, January 12, 2006

So... I am teaching an altered block class tonite. Little nervous, I have 10 wonderful ladies who have practically attended every class I have taught from when I started no matter where it was. I love that feeling. I am excited and I hope they feel the $ are worth it. Always worry about that.
Got a new "do" yesterday. I took in like 10 pictures of Elsie Flannigans hair cause it was just soo dang cute when I met her at CKU-KC. Crazy that I have always taken in scrapbookers hair cuts over the last 2 years. What an impact this industry has been on me.
Hubby and I have date night this weekend, looking forward to a little attention to me, spoiled I guess but I love his undivided attention. What girls doesnt like to be loved on?

Wednesday, January 11, 2006

This is a little fun thing that Plastic is doing, her blog is "Putting the Crap in Scrapbooking" Love challenges so here we go!

1) What color makes you smile? OOOh we have to pick just one, I can't I love pink cause its just a fun crazy color and black because its soo sophisticated(sp)

2) What is your food related pet peeve (is that how you spell it) ? Smacking prolly, so rude.

3) What is your favorite web site (besides 2peas)? Can't get enough of Elsie's blog, kinda like a website right?

4) What did you do on your last date? Went to eat and to see a movie

5) What is your favorite slang word? Its crazy but box. And its what we refer out girl part as. Guess you have to be there, but now you will think twice now when someone asks you for a big box!!

Kansas Weather~ What can you say, except I think that mother nature is on prozac and not taking her meds. Saturday it was almost 70 and just gorgeous, sunday the same a little cooler but not much, monday high 40's wake up this morning to 2 1/2" of snow. Are you kidding me!!! I know I should expect it, its January, but goodness, if I can wear capris 3 days ago and now I have to bundle up like a eskimo I am not a happy camper. One morning I made hubby promise that when we retire it better be a warm climate or if it wasnt, cause he loves colder weather, whens its yucky out I dont want to be required to leave the house. My Daughter LOVES IT!! Hoping it stays so her and Grammy can play in it thursday. But who knows here in KS, by thursday it could be 70 again!

Charity..its a word I use over and over with my daughter to make her understand how blessed she really is. She had all her new pj's piled on the floor and told me she had no more room in her dresser. I explained to her that maybe it was time to make room. Then we were rushed on to our next errand. I never thought she had time to do it, figured I would be reminding her again. But as I walked through the dining room I caught a glance of her favorite satin pj's in the donation pile. The PowerPuff Girl ones. I almost dropped a tear. These bright pink short pj's with a guy type cut top looked soo cute on her. And they were satin and shiny, girly girl just the way she likes it. I had to take a picture of that pile of clothes to freeze in time the fact that she is growing up. That PowerPuff girls arent the thing anymore. That they may actually be too small but that is too hard for me to face. She turns 9 this month and is only a head shorter than me. I plan to savor every moment I have with her, even if it isn't in those Powerpuff Girl pj's.

Quick Funny. For me to remember mostly. I picked up my DD and told her of the news of her Grampy Gearhardt she took it hard of course, my mom was there which helps when I can't talk due to crying. But I told her we could eat Chinese for lunch. Her FAV! And we invited my mom, she was concerned my dad wouldnt come, he doesnt think much outside of meat and potatoes. My daughter said "It's OK Grammy, Grampy can come they have human food" we all lost it! My mom corrected and said "I think you mean American food" It was the funniest!
Well Happy New Year! We were cropping today and everyone was stating their resolutions and I have been so busy with loosing my grandfather I never thought about making any, but I have decided to now..
1. Cussing less...can't help it, I work in a manufacturing plant, my croppers friends laugh at me like I am a drunk girl sailor.

2. Scrapbook more of everyday life. Thanks to Stacy Julians book for this one

3. Journal every day...in here of course. I type better than I write. And journal all those scrapbook pages next to me right now cause they would be finished if I would just do it.

4. And spend at least 1 hour with my daughter every day. Whether reading or playing Horseopoly I am going to do it.

Well life is a bit different for me after loosing my grandfather. I look at the moon more because we use to do that. He would call me when we lived far away and even close by, when I was a little girl he would wake me up at night to eat peaches and look out the back window or sit in the back yard. He shared that love with my daughter as well so her and I will now do that. My mom told her there was a new star in the sky and I kinda believe that. Brings back the good memories when I think of that.
